TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“Be still, and know that I am God.”— Psalm 46:10
SIT WITH THE WORD
Stillness is not passivity. In Psalm 46, the earth shakes and nations rage, yet God remains a present refuge. The command to be still interrupts our illusion that everything depends on our frantic effort.
Jesus welcomes burdened women to come to Him and receive rest. You may still have work to do today, but you can do it from trust instead of panic. God is God before you solve a single thing.
REFLECT WITH JESUS
Where do you need to loosen your grip?
1What am I trying to control today?
2What changes when I remember God is present here?
ONE FAITHFUL STEP
Carry it into today
Pause for three quiet minutes. Breathe slowly and repeat: ‘You are God; I am held.’
PRAY
Jesus, quiet the noise within me. Help me release what I cannot control and remember that You are present, powerful, and good. Teach me to work from rest rather than fear. Amen.
