Life & Faith·Health & Stewardship

A BIBLICAL GUIDE FOR WOMEN

Health & Stewardship

Care for your body, time, gifts, and resources as God’s good gifts.

ANCHOR PASSAGE

Your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit… You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
1 Corinthians 6:19–20

What this verse means

Paul’s immediate concern is sexual holiness, yet his reasoning reveals a larger truth: believers belong wholly to God. The body has sacred dignity because the Spirit dwells within—not because it meets a cultural ideal.

TRUTHS TO CARRY

What Scripture invites you to remember

01

Your body is good and finite

Sleep, nourishment, movement, medical care, and limits can be acts of humble stewardship.

Psalm 139:14
02

Rest is trust

Rest acknowledges that God sustains the world while you sleep.

Psalm 127:2
03

Resources can become love

Time, money, attention, and skills become worship when stewarded generously and wisely.

1 Peter 4:10

A FAITHFUL NEXT STEP

Put truth into practice

  1. Choose one gentle, sustainable health rhythm instead of an extreme reset.
  2. Review one week of time or spending with curiosity rather than shame.
  3. Schedule rest before every space is claimed by urgency.

JOURNAL WITH JESUS

Questions for honest reflection

1Am I caring for my body or trying to control it?

2Which limit have I been treating as a spiritual failure?

3Where could better stewardship create more freedom to love?

A PRAYER FOR THIS SEASON

Creator, thank You for the body, time, abilities, and resources You have entrusted to me. Free me from neglect, vanity, and anxious control. Teach me sustainable care, joyful generosity, and the humility to honor my limits. Amen.
